The Family
The Story
Behind the Wine
Lúcia and Américo, both dentists, found inspiration in Américo's homeland of Vale Flor to bring to life a long-held dream: to produce wines that reflect the soul of the Beira Interior region. Thus, the Souvall brand was born, a tribute to the land that welcomed them and the passion that unites them.
A family that grew up among the vineyards, with their feet on the fertile soil of Vale Flor and their hearts rooted in the valleys and hills that shaped them. The care of the vines and the art of winemaking are deep bonds that span generations, uniting them to the past and projecting them into the future, always in harmony with the land that welcomes them.
The soil of Vale Flor has left its mark on Álvaro Ferraz's hands, a testament to his unwavering devotion to these vineyards. Each vine is a labor of love, imbued with the very essence of his being. From the earth, he coaxes forth a nectar that embodies generations of tradition, each harvest a testament to his dedication and a source of profound pride.
Where past and future intertwine, the present generation of the Ferraz Family carries the torch of their heritage, nurturing its enduring flame. With reverence for tradition and a spirit of innovation, they honor the land and the craft of winemaking, creating wines of exceptional quality, their hearts forever anchored in the embrace of Valflor's valleys.
