The 62nd Anniversary of the Póvoa de Varzim Rotary Club was marked by a memorable itinerary in the Beira Interior region, promoted and sponsored by Dr. Américo Ferraz in close collaboration with the Club’s President, Professor Dr. Afonso Pinhão. This initiative reinforced LA Ferraz’s commitment to honoring human connections, culture, and community sharing—core pillars that define the identity of our family brand.
The program began with a reception at the LA Ferraz winery in Vale Flor, Mêda. Guests enjoyed an exclusive tasting of Souvall altitude wines, paired with traditional regional products carefully selected by Mercearia do Fradinho. The delegation was welcomed by hosts Dr. Américo Ferraz and Dr. Lúcia Ferraz, in a moment that highlighted the family’s hospitality and the immersive nature of their winemaking project.
The official celebration and the 62nd anniversary commemorative lunch took place at the Côa Museu Restaurant, located within the Côa Foundation, offering an outstanding gastronomic experience with views over the landscape.
The day culminated in an enriching cultural experience: a guided tour of the rock art carvings at the Penascosa site in the Côa Park. Organized by the Côa Museum and operated by Arte Côa, the delegation departed from the Reception Center in the village of Castelo Melhor in all-terrain vehicles, followed by a 600-meter walking trail (very low difficulty) to contemplate 5 historical rock panels.
